DigiByte Mobile v4.0.88
October 7, 2026
First release of DigiByte Mobile (app.aroundtheblock.wallet), published by Around The Block LLC on Google Play, with the signed APK as an alternative. It replaces DigiByte Wallet (io.digibyte). It is a new app: install it alongside the old one and move across by restoring your recovery phrase. Nothing moves on chain. Steps: /wallet#moving.
Restore from your recovery phrase is back on the first screen, including the optional passphrase. It is private by default: sync finds your wallet's own addresses on your phone and sends no addresses anywhere. A separate, clearly labelled "Check other formats" button scans other wallet apps' formats (Coinomi, Ledger, Trezor…) through DigiScope, only if you tap it.
Security: every block header must now carry exactly the difficulty target DigiByte's MultiShield rules require; a header that does not is rejected. In v4.0.86 this check only recorded mismatches; it now rejects them.
The app asks for notification permission (Android 13+), so the background sync notification and its progress are visible.
Built for Android 16 (target API 36).
New launcher icon and name: DigiByte Mobile.
