DigiByte Wallet v4.0.77
September 1, 2026
Digi-ID now derives a different identity key for every site, following the SLIP-0013 standard, so two sites you log in to can no longer compare notes and recognise you as the same person. Sites you already use keep working with the key they know.
The key that encrypts your recovery phrase is now bound to your device unlock, so decrypting it needs the phone unlocked as well as the app PIN. This was the second half of the top item from the security audit. A follow-up in the same release fixes a crash loop that the new prompt caused on Android 9 and 10 at unlock.
When Tor is switched on but fails to connect, the wallet now says so with a banner and a Retry button, and falls back in the open rather than silently. The built-in block checkpoints were also refreshed so a fresh sync starts much closer to the present.
