DigiByte Wallet v4.0.62

August 27, 2026

DigiByte is used all over the world, and until now the wallet only spoke English. You can now choose Hindi, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish, Indonesian, Vietnamese, Turkish, Russian or Filipino from Settings → Language. Each language is listed in its own script, because a menu written only in English is no use to someone who does not read English.

These translations are new and have not yet been checked by native speakers, and the wallet says so when you pick one. If something reads wrong — particularly any warning about your recovery phrase or your coins — there is a link to report it in Settings. Those sentences are the ones we most want a second pair of eyes on.

For now the translated screens are the ones you see while setting up a wallet; the rest of the app is still English while we work through it, so you will see a mix until that is done.

Setting up has also changed: the wallet now always creates a new wallet, and an older wallet’s funds are brought across afterwards from Settings rather than restored over the top.

That is a security decision rather than a tidier menu. Restoring an old phrase brings its keys with it, including very old ones whose public keys are already visible on the blockchain — written directly into an old-style payment, or revealed the first time that address was spent from. Those are the keys most exposed to future advances in computing. Creating a new wallet and transferring your coins moves them onto fresh addresses whose keys have never been published. Nothing is lost: your old phrase still recovers your funds, and the transfer flow lives in Settings under Recovery.

Two recovery fixes as well. A recovery that deliberately kept some coins back to protect your DigiAssets no longer reports itself as having failed. And when the lookup service listed the same coin twice, the wallet could build a transaction that spent it twice — something the network rejects outright, failing the whole recovery for a reason that pointed nowhere useful.
