Fixes a freeze / “app not responding” after syncing — on some phones the wallet could freeze ~20s after opening, drop to 0 peers and stick on “Connecting” after switching screens, or hang at the logo — and pull-to-refresh did nothing until you force-stopped it. A background keepalive was holding an internal lock while pinging stale/half-dead peer connections. Now the keepalive is bounded, dead connections are dropped automatically so sync self-heals, and the affected calls run off the main thread — no more force-stop to reconnect.
